In 2024, Costa Rica solidified its position as a key trading partner for the United States, achieving a 9% growth in goods exports,according to data from the Costa Rican Foreign Trade and Investment Promoter (PROCOMER). This positive performance was reflected in a total of $19.894 million in exports,with standout sectors including medical devices, agricultural products, and processed foods.

– Pineapple:With $711 million in exports, the pineapple led agricultural sales, accounting for 7% of total exports
– Banana: Reached $402 million, consolidating its position as one of the most in-demand products in the U.S. market.
– Café Oro: With $129 million, coffee remained a flagship product of Costa Rica’s export offering.
Together, these three products totaled $1.242 million, representing 13% of total exports to the United States in 2024.
